Yasunori Masutani (増谷 康紀 Masutani Yasunori) (born July 5, 1961 in Sapporo, Hokkaidō) is a Japanese voice actor currently affiliated with Aoni Production. He is known for Dragon Ball Z: Battle of Gods (2013), .hack//SIGN (2002) and Kamen Rider Decade (2009). Some of mis most famous roles include Raphael Sorel, Guan Yu and Etemon.
He voiced Colonel Khaki and Wonder Shogun, the two loyal generals of Archduke Nonsense, in TwinBee Yahho!: Fushigi no Kuni de Ōabare!!
Career[]
Yasunori Masutani was raised in Hakodate, Hokkaidō. After graduating from Hokkaidō University with a degree in Engineering, he worked at a division of Toshiba managing semiconductors. However, his habit of mimicking voices lead to his career change for voice acting in the 1990s. Even though he prefers not revealing much about his personal life, he has confided that he married a woman during the mid-1990s.
While better known for his narrations and supporting voice roles in the anime and video game industry, Masutani has provided voiceovers within the tokusatsu genre. He has dubbed the voices for Ultraman Nexus, Koryuganou and Magna Koryuganou in Madan Senki Ryukendo, and Kamen Rider Scissors in Kamen Rider Decade.
