TwinBee: Time Attack (ツインビーTIME ATTACK TsuinBī TIME ATTACK ) is a "boss rush" minigame that can be unlocked in Konami's dating sim Tokimeki Memorial ~forever with you~ for the Sega Saturn and PlayStation, an updated version of the original PC Engine CD game Tokimeki Memorial released on numerous platforms of the era. Time Attack replaces TwinBee Returns, another "boss rush" minigame that appeared in the original version of the game.
Overview[]
TwinBee: Time Attack is an unlockable minigame in Tokimeki Memorial ~forever with you~ that is inspired by the original TwinBee video game from 1985, but with updated 32-bit graphics. In order to unlock it, the player must join the computer club (apparently, as soon as the option becomes available) and by the second year, in October, a school culture festival will take place where the player can talk to the girl in charge and play the game.
Gameplay[]
TwinBee: Time Attack replaces TwinBee Returns, another TwinBee inspired minigame that appeared in the original PC Engine CD version of Tokimeki Memorial. While Time Attack retains the same "boss rush" style, it now includes many airborne enemies between bosses and not just ground ones like its predecessor. The player still has the possibility to shoot at clouds to uncover bell power-ups like traditional TwinBee games. The bosses fought in this minigame are a selection from both Detana!! TwinBee and Pop'n TwinBee, such as Bronco, Windmill Guy and Haipata Ketonbo; although, keeping with the "time attack" theme, their difficulty has been toned down.
Once all bosses have been defeated, the player gets to record their initials if they got a high score and then they return to the main game.
