Electric Doll Emily (エレキドールエミリー Ereki Dōru Emirī?) is the fifth and final main boss in TwinBee Yahho! She is a gigantic mecha in the shape of Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, piloted by the main antagonist of the game, Archduke Nonsense.

Description[]

Electric Doll Emily is a giant mecha that –keeping with the whole Wonderland theme– bears a striking resemblance to Alice from Lewis Carroll's 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. As such, she resembles a Victorian era porcelain doll of a little girl wearing a light blue dress with a white apron-like piece worn over it. The doll has long and blond hair combed in a loose style, and similar to the inhabitants of Wonderland, she bears two long and furry ears that emerge from the top of her head. She has two big and round blue eyes which change colors when she shoots laser beams from them, either red or green, depending of the type of laser she's currently attacking with.

Appearances[]

  • TwinBee Yahho! (1995 - arcade, PS, Saturn): Electric Doll Emily is the fifth and final main boss in TwinBee Yahho! (the actual final boss is Dr. Warumon's escape pod, although its fight is more of a chase sequence). She is piloted by Archduke Nonsense. Emily is a giant mecha resembling Alice from Alice's Adventures in Wonderland. Her weak spot is her head. She has a wide assortment of attacks, which include:
    • Spews out volleys of bullets in a wide spreading manner and in quick succession, each covering half the bottom of the screen.
    • Shoots two green, long and wide laser beams from her eyes, tracking the player's ship as they move around the screen.
    • A variant of the aforementioned attack has Emily quickly and repeatedly rotating her head 360° while spreading shorter laser beams all across the screen.
    • Emily lifts her forearms, partially detaching them from their elbows area, and from there she launches two missiles straightforward. When these travel a certain distance, they burst and release a myriad of tiny missiles that then head in the player's general direction, using slight tracking. The large missiles can be destroyed in midair to prevent them from bursting.
After taking enough damage, the fight with Emily will enter its second and final phase, announced by her making a short pause and rolling her eyes all around, and then she'll perform all of the aforementioned attacks at the same time and with more powerful variants, including releasing greater number of projectiles, following all new and harder to avoid patterns, and all performed much quicker.
