Donburi Fields is the third stage in Jikkyō Oshaberi Parodius. This stage is a parody of the TwinBee series, featuring various iconic elements such as cameos of Madoka, Dr. Mardock (or Dr. Warumon) and BaronBee, as well as featuring several music tracks from that series.
The level also pays homage to Lewis Carroll's 1865 novel Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, featuring White Rabbits, Card Soldiers and even a castle following the same thematic.
Overview[]
Right before the level begins, falling stars (one ridden by a strange creature) will start raining down. Bomb them for 10,000 points a piece. The higher the difficulty level, the more that will rain down.
Madoka and Dr. Mardock make a brief cameo appearing in a cloud in the background. There is even a Mount Rushmore-styled rock further on portraying the faces of Light, Pastel, Mint and Dr. Cinnamon.
Before the waterfall area, two female pigs will appear dancing on the ground. Bomb them for 10,000 pts.
Near the end of the level, Madoka will appear once more, in person this time, standing on an island and making a reverence as the player passes by. If shot, she will start crying (worth 100 points in the Super Famicom version and 3,000 points in the PlayStation/Saturn ports).
